Use Fees

The Crowley County Heritage Society and The Town of Crowley work together to make the Center available by advance reservation for group activities. The Heritage Society supervise this use and the fees charged are used for utilities and etc. Either group upon their discretion may wave the set fee or adjust it for any for board meetings, community service and community activities that are open to the public and community funeral dinners. Working members of the Heritage Society, Town Board or Young at Heart Seniors are entitled to one $25.00 use per year.

Use Fee and Deposit Rate Schedule

A $25.00 minimum for groups of fewer than 50 using only part of the building. A $25.00 per hour of event time used for over 50. A minimum of $100.00 if a meal and dancing are planned because of the wear and tear and utilities. A public dance is prohibited but family and friend parties with dancing is allowed. Alcohol may be served in moderation only if it is given away with no money changing hands and underage consumption of alcohol is unlawful and voids deposit return and future use. The local sheriffs department may be asked to monitor dances where alcohol is present.

A $75.00 deposit (double $150.00 if a DJ, Band, or dancing is planned) Both the deposit and use fee must be paid in advance. If you use less time than planned we will make a refund and we hope to not have to cash the deposit check if the building is left as found per Clean Check list attached and posted in building. (The recent refinishing of the floors was over $2500.00). The kitchen is set up and equipped to keep food hot and for serving not for total meal preparation. Most meals are catered in. We have white or burgundy cloth table cloths which may be used for $1.00 each. We prefer to wash them. There is usually a plastic kind that you may use at no cost and must be cleaned as instructed. We will work with you as to how tables are set up and they must be folded up in order to clean. DO NOT DRAG TABLES, DECORATING MAY BE DONE WITH CHALK ON BOARDS AND SCOTCH TAPE. THERE ARE HOOKS FOR HANGING ITEMS. NEVER USE NAILS TACKS ETC. ON THE ORIGINAL PLASTER OR WOODWORK.

The rules may change from time to time as we continue to try to protect the building WHICH IS ON THE STATE AND NATIONAL HISTORIC SIGHT LIST for future use.

THE HERITAGE CENTER IS A SMOKE FREE BUILDING

Bird seed only may be used outside for wedding receptions. All bags, ribbons or containers must be picked up.

Parking may be along Main St. and to the west of the Heritage Center. The ramp area must be left openfor handicapped use and food deliveries.
